    The offenders working in Utah Correctional Industries' Green Thumb Nursery continued a 21-year tradition of service by donating two truckloads of pumpkins to special needs students at two area schools.

    California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. delivered opening remarks at the San Diego Employer Forum, an event hosted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and the California Prison Industry Authority that facilitates dialogue on the benefits of hiring trained former offenders.The forum taught over 400 employers how and why to hire former offenders.
